CYPRIOT GALAXY
April 2018
By Ross Belfer
A 40-minute flight can seem like a world away. Troubles only dissipate if you remove yourself from your habitat and enter a new environment of pleasureful leisure. Such is the way an Anassa hotel on the northwest bay of Greek Cyprus, a world within itself. As a natural born explorer, this lap around Cyprus left me destitute of go-getting, foot-to-pavement travel that I am accustom to. From the sweeping and verdant property -- replete with a still-active, Byzantine-Chapel in a white-stone square -- to the genuinely friendly but not over-the-top service and hospitality, I succumbed to my senses and allowed for a necessary chill in paradise. So you have it, three days at Anassa in 35mm format.
Take me to church
A swim in an in-suite infinity pool? Yes please.
Let the light shine through
Glitter is gold while touring the grounds
Interior coated by double exposure
Rugged island in expired film
From the balcony I perch
Casual pick-up at Anassa
Dreams on top of memories
Palatial pool house
Columns for collosus
Pool View I and Pool View II
Is this thing? On.
The harp is a blur
Watch it, drink it
Served like a serpent
όμορφη γυναίκα
White-clad and washed out
A symbol of fate
