Camogli, Italy
By Ross Belfer
In today’s modern hospitality landscape, there are hotels, and there are airbnbs. And then there are those special places that fall in between categories, where authenticity is a beckon of hope and intention is executed with accuracy.
At Villa Rosmarino, nestled along a gorgeous winding street in Camogli in Italy’s seaside Ligurian region, referred to as the Italian Riveira, don’t expect air conditioning, TVs and formalities of a your standard bolthole. But do expect an incredible art collection fashioning the walls of every crevasses in the villa; Italian designer everything, from the ashtrays to the sun-chairs and bed frames, furniture and light fixtures; charming breakfast and late afternoon aperitivo, and an outdoor pool temperature-d perfectly for a cool dip after a hot day at the beach.
All in all, this place offers an intangible calm and understated sophistication that only owners Fulvio and Mario could dream into existence — a perfect respite from the bustle of contemporary life.
