WIND FARM TAIWAN

Taiwan

Highway travel in a foreign country is exhilarating, at times more than the plane ride itself. Travel within travel, as I was lucky enough to have a motorbike for 24 hours in Tai Chung. After 4 days in Tai Chung, walking and biking for hours a day, day and night in multiple stages of treating 7-11 like a bar, noodles, and smuggled nyc weed haze inebriation, I felt ready. It started as an easy way to get to an otherwise detached party of the city’s outskirts and save ourselves fromRussian selfie mobs and the like. It ended with the (unwarranted) confidence of weaving in and out of rush-hour traffic.

Dubbed the biggest hotbed in “offshore wind tech” it’s a series of turbines with a hallucinogenic sunset. Driving for 2 hours on the mini hi-ways, gets you to the wooden walkway to get the best selfie under a cornucopia of oranges, pinks, and reds.

WindFarm contains the energy of progress while keeping in mind the slow and gentle progress of Taiwan.
