Nestled up in the hillside district of Ulia overlooking the Ziriolla Beach on the Atlantic, Mendia Argia is a sanctuary of respite, style and intimate hospitality that is a shining example of what a boutique hotel should be.

The long winded drive from Barcelona to San Sebastián deserved a landing pad that both inspired and satiated. Gazing from the terrace of Room 8 out to the distant coast accentuated both time and place. Amongst the stars, the story was written. A dream realized, we headed to town and laid our towels on the long swathe of sandy terrain, breathing deeply a saline air only the Atlantic could provide. And after a swim and lunch of pintxos and wine, all one could ask for is a plush bed and friendly smile to return to. Revisit, we shall. And hopefully sooner than later.
